Our sincere congratulations and thanks to Mrs. Christine Ippolito on her 25th anniversary of teaching our students. A special Mass was celebrated in her honor on June 2. The entire student body along with our present Principal, Mrs. Christine Cieloszczyk and our former Principal, Sr. Dorothea Jurkowski, CSFN were in attendance. Also present at this special event were her husband and her father. As an expression of their gratitude, children from the school presented Mrs. Ippolito with flowers and a scrapbook commemorating her many years of dedicated service to the students of our school. Thank you and God Bless You.
Nowhere else was the anticipation of Pope John Paul II’s May 1st beatification greater than at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Brooklyn, New York. Prayers for his sainthood began in earnest the day he died, just six years earlier.
Nowhere else were they as ardent and as hopeful as they were at this famous landmark church that began serving Greenpoint’s Polish immigrants as far back as the 19th century. Because Father Marek Sobczak C.M. was observing his 30th anniversary of the day he first became a priest, what could be a better way to honor both their pastor and the pope than at a special mass celebrated at the church which now stands on land the City of New York had renamed “John Paul II Square?” Continue reading PRAYERS AND A TRIBUTE TO THE POPE AND THE PASTOR

As a child, she emigrated with her parents from Germany to the United States and worked tirelessly all her life in many spheres of activity, specifically her church, school and community. 50 years ago our parish bulletin Patron had printed those two articles on Fr. Ed:
FATHER EDMUND GUTOWSKI, C. M .
The many years of expectations have drawn to a close. This was perhaps one of the many thoughts of Father Edmund Gutowski, C. M., one of our parishioners on Ascension Thursday. Why? Because on that May 26 he had stepped out of the chapel at Mary Immaculate Seminary, Northampton, Pa., “a priest forever, according to the order of Melchisedech.” Yes, a day of joy and expectation not only for his family and friends but also for us parishioners who have come to know and await this same expectation – the ordination to Christ’s Holy Priesthood. And we should indeed be proud of this fact that another member of the parish has received the Holy Sacrament of Holy Orders. 50 lat temu w parafialnej gazetce Św. Stanisława Kostki na Greenpoincie, ukazał sie następujący artykuł:
Nareszcie!
