As part of the upcoming Fortnight for Freedom, St. Joseph Parish (Long Island City) has invited Edward T. Mechmann, Esq., Director of Public Policy for the Archdiocese of New York, to speak on the issue of marriage on Tuesday, June 25, at 7:30pm in the Convent Gathering Space. Mr. Mechmann will discuss the current status of traditional marriage as it is being (re-)defined in the public sphere and on the constitutional issues surrounding marriage. He will provide a common-sense defense of traditional marriage that all Catholics should be able to provide in this highly secularized world in which we find ourselves. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to Steve Quatela by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone (718-278-1611).
