The Catholic Schools Week

12 Raise Standards_logo v1The Catholic Schools Week starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2013 is January 27 to February 2. The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2013 is “Catholic Schools Raise the Standards.”  Schools typically celebrate Catholic Schools Week with Masses, open houses, and other activities for students, families, parishioners, and the community at large.

World Mission Sunday

Today we celebrate the Mission Sunday, organized by the Propagation of the Faith. It is a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church’s missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice. Annually, World Mission Sunday is celebrated on the next-to-last Sunday in October.
