Blessed Frances Siedliska

siedl On Monday, November 21, the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, will commemorate the memory of their foundress, Blessed Frances Siedliska. Frances Siedliska, a noblewoman from 19th century Poland, founded the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth (CSFN) as an international congregation in Rome in 1875. She chose Rome rather than another European city to emphasize her dedication to the Church and her desire to cross ethnic boundries. Her aim was to bring Christ’s love to everyone and to each one personally. She was beatified on April 23, 1989. Presently, the Congregation of about 1500, has sisters serving in Italy, Poland, England, France, Israel, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Australia, the Philippines, and most recently, in Kazakhstan. We congratulate the Sisters on this occasion, and we pray for their intentions as well as for new vocations to their religious Community.

Anniversary of Martyrdom

Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth have played a very important role in our parish of St. Stanislaus Kostka for many years. They used to administer the parochial school, they served as teachers and leaders in the school and in the parish for many years. They still are involved in the life of the parish by helping with the school, teaching the CCD program, leading children in prayers, participating in spiritual programs and devotions. We would like to tell you more about this religious community.
