An essay by Sarah, an 8 grade student of St Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy. Great testimony, please read carefully…
I like being in a Catholic School because I feel much safer. It is a quiet learning environment to me. All the kids are well disciplined and very respectful to each other. Being in a Catholic School is a privilege that many students don’t get. I consider myself lucky to be here. The teachers are very nice here and care about your education. They always try their hardest to grade all of our tests immediately. Catholic School has very strict rules. That’s what makes them so great. Students honor, follow, and respect them so there are no problems ever.
My favorite part of coming to a Catholic School is saying our daily prayers. Every morning and every dismissal makes me feel closer to God. At a public school you wouldn’t say prayers in the morning or afternoon. Catholic School is a wonderful experience. It is different from other schools because we go to church on school days, we say prayers daily, and we get religion as a major subject in school. Also they don’t have a convent right next door to their school. Overall, coming here reminded me to pray to God every day.
If I had to be in a Catholic School or public school, I would definitely pick a Catholic School because at a public school the students are not civilized, respectful, or obedient. I think that St. Stan’s teachers are a lot better than public school teachers. They are much more serious about education and strive for students’ success. I think that when I walk away from St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy, I can say Catholic School meant a meaningful, fun, and Godly experience to me. I am thankful that my parents let me switch schools to come to a Catholic School. I feel that this school is very friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to finish off the rest of my first year at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy.
