Anniversary of Martyrdom

Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth have played a very important role in our parish of St. Stanislaus Kostka for many years. They used to administer the parochial school, they served as teachers and leaders in the school and in the parish for many years. They still are involved in the life of the parish by helping with the school, teaching the CCD program, leading children in prayers, participating in spiritual programs and devotions. We would like to tell you more about this religious community.

Just a few days ago the Sisters had celebrated a sad but also a powerful commemoration. During the Second World War (1939 –  1945) people living on Polish soil were persecuted for their national identity and faith.  Continue reading Anniversary of Martyrdom

Good book alert

Tv personality Rita Cosby (FoxNews, MSNBC and now CBS) wrote a book which is close to being on the NY Times Best seller list. It is: Quiet Hero: Secrets of my Father’s Past. He, Ryszard Kossobudzki, was in the Warsaw Uprising, Anders’ Army etc. It would be probably the first time ever that the NYT would have a book about someone Polish and Catholic on its list if a few more copies could be sold sooner than later. It is available on Amazon.
