St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy Drama Club presented on Friday May 16th and Saturday May 17th the musical play Cinderella. After months of practice, the day finally came for the drama club to present their version of this famous tale. For two nights the students told the story of a beautiful girl named Cinderella. She lived with her wicked stepmother and two stepsisters, who treated Cinderella very badly. One day, they were invited for a grand ball in the king’s palace. But Cinderella’s stepmother would not let her go. A fairy godmother appeared and helpe her to get to the ball nicely dressed. Before leaving the fairy godmother said, “Cinderella, this magic will only last until midnight! You must reach home by then!” The prince, of course, had fallen in love with Cinderella and wanted to find out who the beautiful girl was,
but he did not even know her name. He found the glass slipper that had come off Cinderella’s foot as she ran home. The next day, the prince and his servants took the glass slipper and went to all the houses in the kingdom. Finally, the slipper fit Cinderella’s foot perfectly. The prince recognized her from the ball. He married Cinderella and together they lived happily ever after. An enjoyable evening was had by all and we can thank the wonderful teachers (Ms. Zito and Ms. Kazes) and a crew for a job well done. If you miss this years shows, please come next year for another wonderful performances by the Drama Club.
