This Sunday, November 20, 2011, our parish was blessed by the visit of enthusiastic young people from Generation Life group. They came to us with a special mission. They shared with all parishioners a powerful message of chastity as well as the pro-life message. They also invited all to support their mission with spreading the message and with prayers for them. Generation Life is a movement of young people committed to building a Culture of Life by educating our peers on the pro-life and chastity messages and developing new leaders for the pro-life movement. They gave their presentation in English and Polish at the end of each mass. After the Mass they met with parishioners and were able to distribute flyers about the movement. They were well received by all the parishioners who awarded them with great applaud.
"We believe that by spreading the message of chastity, we can end abortion at the root cause" – said Stephanie from Huston, Texas and Emmanuel from Astoria, NY. "Generation Life reaches over 25,000 students each year. We offer educational programs for 7th – 12th grade students and college students in the Philadelphia area and New York City area. Generation Life educators have traveled to Australia, Canada, Mexico, Europe and around the U.S.A." The energetic staff oversees Generation Life’s multiple and varied programs including school presentations, church talks, college leadership meetings, and special events such as Eighth Grade Chastity Days, weekly and monthly prayer vigils at local abortion facilities, and the South Jersey Beach Outreach.
It is a great way to promote the culture of life and to spend life properly….
