On Sunday, January 4, 2015, during the 9 AM Mass as we took part in a special celebration – we have relived a practice of the early Church, the eager sending of its members to other peoples, to assist either those who were already of the household of the faith or those who did not yet believe in Christ. Our Sister Mary Frances from the Congregation of the Holy Family of Nazareth, is going for three months’ mission to Ghana, Africa. During the mass, we have extended our hands over her with our prayers and blessing, and we promise to support her in her mission to the poor of Ghana with our daily prayers and spiritual unity. The sending of our sister Mary Frances and Anna, a young woman of our parish, to serve the needs of the Church will strengthen our bond of communion with the local Church to which they are going, and the prayers we offered in that celebration are an expression of that communion.
May God bless you Sister Mary Frances and Anna in you mission!
