On January 20, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) reaffirmed a rule that virtually all private health care plans must cover sterilization, abortifacients, and contraception. The rule is set to take effect August 1, 2012. Non-profit religious employers that do not now provide such coverage, and are not exempt under the rule’s extremely narrow definition of religious employer, will be given one year until August 1, 2013 to comply.
On January 22, 1973 the U.S. Supreme handed down its decision in Roe v. Wade, a Texas case. The court established a right to abortion under the Fourteenth Amendment. The issues involved in the case are still being hotly debated. The "Roe" in the case, for instance, travels the country speaking in opposition to the court’s decision; while abortion-rights groups do their utmost to shield Roe v. Wade from any revision. Today we pray to stop abortion that kills millions of the unborn in the USA every year.
According to the website of the Alan Guttmacher Institute, 43% of women will have had at least one abortion by the age of 45. That’s a lot of abortion, and a lot of pain. Those who suffer from the aftereffects of this procedure and seek guidance and counseling may call the National Office of Post-Abortion Reconciliation and Healing at 1-800-5-WE-CARE.

Stop the Extreme Abortion Bill
The so-called “Reproductive Health Act” was introduced in the State Assembly on June 17, 2010, matching a bill already in the Senate, which is actively supported by the Governor. There is not much time left in the 2009-2010 regular legislative session — now is the time to express your opposition to this bill! Take action now by sending the message to your elected state officials. For more info click here
