Empower Haitians to Emerge from Dire Poverty

CLM_family_photoMessage from The International Vincentian Family:       The “bottom billion” are people around the globe who live on less than $1.25 a day. They live in make-shift homes, are not guaranteed a daily meal, cannot send their children to school and lack an income to improve their lot in life. In Haiti, a country of 10 million people, 77 percent live at or below the poverty level.   With your help, a Haitian family can lift itself out of poverty. The International Vincentian Family, which consists of people and organizations that find inspiration in the legacy of St. Vincent de Paul, is hosting a $100,000 matching program through Dec. 27, 2011 for donations to the “Pathway to a Better Life” program.
