Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ

Sunday, June 26th, 2011, is the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. As in the past years, we invite you to participate in the Corpus Christi procession. After the 11:30 Mass we will exit the church onto the street to manifest our faith in the true and real presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. We will process from the church up Humboldt Street, up Nassau Avenue to Russell Street and back down Driggs Avenue to the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. We request that those organizations and families who prepared altars in past years, honor Christ in a similar manner this year. We invite parish organizations and all the faithful to participate in the procession. We encourage parents to bring their children, and in particular the First Holy Communion Children and the Krakowianki and Górale, Altar Servers to participate in the procession on that day. Let our presence express our gratitude to Christ for being with us always in such a mysterious way, as is the Eucharist.
On the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, due to the procession, there will not be a 1:00PM Mass.
