On August 29, 2010, during a special con-celebrated Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Brooklyn, the new standard of the Usher Society was blessed. This is the first standard for this society. The standard was donated by longtime president of the Usher Society, Mr. Kazimierz Zamora. The artwork on the standard was completed by Sisters at a Convent in Poland. Mr. Zamora’s donation was in thanks to God for his seventy-seven years of life.
The standard is decorated on both sides and embroidered with gold thread. On the white side there is a depiction of St. Stanislaus Kostka, Patron Saint of our Parish, with the following words in Polish, “Św. Stanisławie Kostko, módl się za nami. Kolektorzy 2010. Ufundował K. Zamora” Translated it is, “St. Stanislaus Kostka, pray for us. Ushers 2010. Donated by K. Zamora” While on the blue side there is a portrayal of the Patron Saint of the Priests of the Congregation of the Mission with the following words: “Saint Vincent de Paul, Pray for us. Usher Society 2010 – Św. Wincenty a’Paulo, módl się za nami.” This beautiful gift is donated to the Usher Society for their invaluable service to the parish.
